Emergency Information Cards
According to California state law, parents are required to submit the Emergency Information Card on an annual basis before school starts in September. If this information changes during the school year, parents are required to contact the Main Office Receptionist immediately to update this card.

Earthquake, Fire and Other Emergency Procedures
Mayfield Senior School has comprehensive earthquake, fire and lockdown plans, and drills are held throughout the year. In the event of an earthquake or similar emergency, earthquake procedures will be implemented:

Stage 1: Faculty, staff and students will protect themselves during the actual earthquake.

Stage 2: Immediately after an earthquake, the faculty, staff and students will evacuate the building and assemble on the North Lawn.

Stage 3: Recovery period. The stored food and water will be distributed and the first aid station will be set up.

Items to remember:

  • If an earthquake occurs, do not call the school. If phone lines are still operational, they will be used for urgent calls to emergency agencies.
  • In the event of a major disaster, the out-of-state contact for Mayfield Senior School will be the Holy Child Network office in Pennsylvania. The telephone number is (610) 626-1400.
  • The decision to dismiss school or continue with classes after the earthquake will be made by the administration. The school will attempt to contact KNX news radio 1070 AM with that decision.
  • Students will be released to their parents or the person(s) designated on the Student Emergency Information Card at the front gate following an earthquake.
  • Mayfield has enough food and water stored to supply all faculty, staff and students for a period of 72 hours.
  • Mayfield Senior School has a trained, certified First Aid Team to respond to emergency needs.

This is only a plan and will be modified as situations dictate.
